Mood Cycle Log ("the extension") is a Chrome extension for logging mood, sleep, and possible triggers. This policy explains what data the extension handles and how.
What data is stored
When you use the extension, it stores the following information on your device and, if Chrome Sync is enabled, across your own signed-in Chrome browsers:
- Mood level and timestamp for each entry
- Optional tags such as irritability, anxiety, low energy, or feeling overwhelmed
- Optional trigger selections such as conflict, stress, caffeine, travel, or changes in routine
- Optional sleep status and hours slept
- Optional free-text notes you type
Some of this information may be personal or health-related. The extension does not use this information to diagnose, classify, or provide medical advice.
How data is stored
Mood Cycle Log uses Chrome's built-in
chrome.storage.sync API.
- Data is saved within your Chrome browser profile.
- If you are signed into Chrome with Sync enabled, Chrome may sync the data across your own devices using Google's existing Chrome Sync infrastructure.
- The developer does not operate a server, database, or backend that receives, stores, or has access to your mood data.
What we do not do
- We do not collect or transmit your mood entries.
- We do not use analytics or tracking pixels.
- We do not include third-party analytics SDKs.
- We do not display advertisements.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties.
- We do not require an account, login, or email address.
Your control over your data
- You can delete individual entries from the History tab.
- You can clear all entries from the History tab.
- You can export your data as a CSV file at any time.
- You can manage your Chrome Sync data through Google's Chrome sync controls.
Uninstalling the extension removes its locally stored data from that browser profile. If Chrome Sync is enabled, previously synced copies may remain in your Chrome Sync account until the relevant Chrome Sync data is cleared.
For more information, see Chrome's sync data controls .
Children's privacy
This extension is not directed at children and is not designed to collect data from children.
